The spa has always been a place of healing. A peaceful space where one can get in touch with their core–body, mind and soul. The spa offers a unique environ of calm nuturing. The spa can become a favorite social hub to meet with friends and take the waters. The spa can be an alternative to lunch or a weekly spot for energetic re-alignment.
Years ago when I owned spas we experienced a steady flow of those who came in because the place “felt good.” It is no surprise to me that The Spa Association’s 2014 Trends Report includes, “The Enlightened Spa,” and the importance of wellness in the life of the spa-goer. The spa has become mainstream and we are all better for it.
